Ilya Garipov joins the Corporate and Finance Practice of Sobranie Law Firm
The Corporate and Finance Practice team at Sobranie Law Firm continues its expansion. Associate Ilya Garipov, formerly of Orion Partners, Better Chance, and ALRUD, has joined the firm.
Ilya's arrival marks the next stage in the development of Sobranie's Corporate and Finance Practice. Previously, the team was joined by Partner and Head of Practice Kirill Miller, Senior Associate Evgenia Marchenko, and Associate Yulia Chernysh.
Ilya specializes in financial transactions, including syndicated and bilateral lending, project and structured finance, as well as transactions in the transport sector.
His recent projects include advising on a structured finance transaction for AFK Sistema exceeding RUB 300 billion, project financing for the construction and acquisition of locomotives and rolling stock for the Moscow–Saint Petersburg high-speed railway, and the construction of the TEA Next Trans-Eurasian fiber-optic communication line.
Prior to joining Sobranie Law Firm, Ilya practiced at Orion Partners, Better Chance, and ALRUD. He graduated with honors from the Faculty of Law at HSE University and holds an LL.M. from University College London.
